Hulk Hogan has entered the cannabis industry, launching his own brand of THC and CBD products. Hogan, who has undergone numerous surgeries and struggled with chronic pain, credits THC and CBD for improving his sleep, reducing inflammation, and alleviating joint pain. Inspired by his positive experience, he partnered with Carma HoldCo to promote healthier alternatives to prescription medications.
In the theatrical world of professional wrestling, where physical prowess is celebrated and tenacity rewarded, one titan has often reigned supreme, riding the waves of fame and respect: Terry Eugene Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan. However, behind his journey lies a harsh reality: countless injuries and 28 surgical operations over the past decade.
“I’ve had ten operations on my back, kidneys, and two hips. It’s a situation where you’re constantly injured,” admits Hogan. Despite these immense challenges, his determination has never wavered. In fact, he declares, “I feel better at 69 than I ever did. I feel like I’m 25 again.”
What is the secret to Hulk Hogan regaining health and vitality? The answer lies in two compounds of cannabis: THC and CBD.
These cannabinoids have become Hogan’s new allies in his journey towards health and well-being. Prior to this transformation, Hogan was in constant battle with chronic pain. His comfort, though temporary and inadequate, relied on prescription medications such as Tylenol, Advil, and Aleve. These medications ultimately proved ineffective, and Hogan sought longer-lasting relief.
“CBD and THC have really changed my sleep, inflammation, how my wrists and joints hurt. Overall, it has helped me regain my health,” reveals Hulk Hogan.
Hulk Hogan’s experience led him to launch a THC and CBD brand
Hulk Hogan’s experience with THC and CBD was so profound that he decided to take it a step further. Drawing inspiration from other icons like Mike Tyson and Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan decided to launch his own cannabis-based product line.
This initiative, undertaken in partnership with Carma HoldCo (the company responsible for “Tyson Ranch 2.0” and “Ric Flair Drip”), aligns with his commitment to promoting healthier and safer alternatives to traditional prescription drugs.
“I wanted to be part of the team right away because CBD can be used for energy, sleep, fitness,” Hogan shares. “It’s a logical extension of what I was already doing (taking medication), but it’s a safer way to approach the problem rather than a catch-all with typical doctor-prescribed medications. It didn’t make sense anymore.”
Chad Bronstein, President of Carma HoldCo, shares Mr. Hogan’s enthusiasm for their joint venture. Not only do they plan to offer THC and CBD products, but they also intend to introduce an exciting range of functional mushrooms and other health and wellness products.
“Their stories [Hogan, Tyson, and Flair’s] partially explain why people are more open to using these specific products,” says Bronstein.
With this new venture, Hogan hopes to change the conversation around CBD and THC, not only for himself but also for others in the wrestling industry and beyond. “I think it’s something that would help WWE, the wrestlers right now, especially with the intensity of their work. They’re tearing their bodies apart and working very hard. So, I’m really looking forward to it,” reveals Hogan.
