THC Drinks at the Game

The Portland Pickles, operating in the West Coast League in Oregon, have announced that they will be the first team in the United States to introduce the sale of THC drinks during their games. The Pickles have partnered with Cycling Frog to offer cannabis-derived THC drinks at their matches.

In a statement about the THC drinks, Ross Campbell, Vice President of Business Development, said that the Pickles “have a responsibility in the sports industry to take bold steps and set precedents for innovative partnerships.”

“In 2019, we became the first team to partner with a CBD company, and soon after, other teams, including those in Major League Baseball, followed our lead. We are very proud to provide an alternative option at our games with Cycling Frog products for our amazing fans and the city of Portland!” Campbell stated in the THC drinks press release.

Cycling Frog Light Seltzer THC drinks will be available at Walker Stadium, where the Pickles play, starting June 18. The Light Seltzer contains 2 milligrams of THC per serving.

Matt Palomares, Vice President of Brand Marketing at Cycling Frog, said in a statement that the company is “thrilled to be making history” with the Pickles.

“At Cycling Frog, we believe that cannabis consumption should be normalized, accessible, and fun! What could be more normal than going to a baseball game and cheering for the local team?” Palomares said in the press release. “The availability of THC drinks at Pickles games is a huge step forward, and we look forward to initiating a broader conversation through this partnership.”
