Quality Is a Top Priority

As usual with pharmaceutical products, the company ensures quality for patients is a top priority. To further raise the level of its products and to meet patient demands, Cannamedical is creating a cannabis sommelier position.

“Patient feedback on our products has for years been one of the most important pieces of information for optimizing our own portfolio. Of course, quality plays a major role here. […] In the future, we will also take other factors into account when selecting new varieties: in addition to the pharmaceutically active ingredients THC and CBD, the terpene profile, aroma, and flower condition are also important to ensure high quality,” says Burak Seckinok, Sales Director of Cannamedical Pharma.

8,000 Euros a Month for Working as a Cannabis Sommelier

With the expertise of the cannabis sommelier that Cannamedical is seeking, the medical cannabis varieties already on offer will be evaluated and tested, and new varieties will be marketed based on his feedback.

As more information and data become available, whether through scientific papers or patient feedback, the terpene profile of cannabis treatment is increasingly coming into focus. Cannamedical, the manufacturer with the largest range of cannabis varieties for medical purposes in Germany, wants to devote a lot of attention to this area in the future, perhaps with your participation.

Requirements for the Position of Cannabis Sommelier

You, too, can help select the varieties that will be available in German dispensaries. Anyone who uses medical cannabis as a patient in Germany already meets the first important requirement to apply for the newly announced position of cannabis sommelier.

The work of a cannabis sommelier at Cannamedical Pharma revolves around the further development of the product portfolio. With his help, both the taste and quality of hemp medicines are to be kept at the highest level. Cannabis varieties must be evaluated based on established criteria, and the product portfolio requires constant quality control, which the employed cannabis sommelier is to control.

The cannabis sommelier is also to support the company in the selection and purchase of medicinal cannabis varieties, as well as in supply chain management. In addition, the “Cannamedical cannabis sommelier” is also expected to observe and analyze the market, write technical articles on cannabis varieties, their cultivation, and producers, and conduct educational activities on medical cannabis.

What Qualities and Skills Should a Cannabis Sommelier Have?

A cannabis sommelier must be highly knowledgeable about cannabis and have a thorough understanding of the plant itself, its terpenes, and other components.

Their senses should be sharpened to perceive the qualitative characteristics of cannabis and describe them in an accessible way. A good sense of smell and taste is essential for this.

A cannabis sommelier should also have a scientific or agricultural background and the ability to work independently and in an organized manner on their own initiative. Previous cannabis training or experience as a cannabis sommelier is also welcome.

If you have the qualities in this job description and have been waiting for such an offer, then apply for your dream position! You can find all the information and the full cannabis sommelier job announcement here.
