CBD beauty products bring new customers to the industry

Cannabis beauty products are a trend that became popular in 2019 and will continue in 2020. Many companies started producing special products from hemp oil and CBD since they're known for their therapeutic and anti-inflammatory properties. Products containing cannabidiol (CBD) are on the list of many well-known companies such as American Eagle, NYX Professional Makeup, Muva Beauty, and others.

Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, hemp oil and CBD beauty products have attracted new customers to the industry in 2019.

The trend for products containing cannabidiol has never been stronger with a huge potential to attract more customers in 2020 thanks to a selection of new features discovered in recent months.

Moreover, as cannabis is becoming extremely popular in every country, it is time to invest in such emerging industries. One prominent example in Europe is the CBD and hemp industry that’s predicted to be worth $14.67 billion by 2026.

American Eagle and NYX add CBD beauty products to their lineup

The NYX makeup brand launched the “Bare With Me Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Collection” last June.

It includes four CBD beauty products based on natural hemp oil to moisturize and soften the skin: a blotter, an eyebrow fixative, a foundation, and lip care.

American Eagle Outfitters also unveiled a new line of CBD beauty products, based on hemp derivatives, called “MOOD” in October. The 45-product line includes unisex products ranging from body creams to hand creams and facial soaps.

The products have been classified into six different scent categories to suit different moods: Chill, Energized, Focused, Refreshed, Soothed and zZz.

Other brands making additions to the CBD beauty market

The vegan cosmetics brand Milk Makeup boosted its CBD beauty product offer in April with its “Kush Waterproof Mascara.”

Its formula is similar to the brand’s “Kush High Volume Mascara.” The difference is that it contains hemp oil to treat lashes in addition to make-up.

Furthermore, the high-end fashion brand Alice + Olivia helped push the CBD beauty trend in September with the help of the cannabis brand Kush Queen.

The two companies collaborated on a series of CBD beauty products such as a bath bomb, body care, and a bubble bath.

More CBD beauty brands mean more profit for the industry

Amber Rose unveiled their “MUVA Beauty” skincare brand in November, based on premium and organic CBD products.

The initial CBD beauty collection includes a bath powder, body soap and an intimate lubricant.

With more brands and companies jumping on the CBD beauty train, this market could be a great potential for the industry.
